Today I finished my first assignment. I did a story of a monster in the basement because when I was young I would only go downstairs with the sun shining and my dad with me which was because of the sounds that I would hear at night. To start the project I go to an extreme wide with a man on the porch. Next, I go over the shoulder on a text message. The third is a close up of the face next is a point of view going downstairs. 4th is a point of view shot going downstairs into the dark. After that is a medium shot of a man in the garage prepping his tools. Last, is a shot where the camera is on the ground and you don't know what really happened. I choose these shots because this whole process was very new so I tried to think out of the box a little bit but making sure I did not put to much pressure on the six shots that I was not familiar with. I learned how to overcome challenges because I shot a scene twice but then scratched it when I got a new idea and this taught me the importance of planning. I then learned the importance of understanding what you are doing because while I was acting my brother was not filming and he made a couple of mistakes which was resolved when he took his time and once that happened it became really easy. Overall, I was extremely proud that I created this video and the progress that I have seen in myself. To watch it click here
